Accessing Google Translate
1. Open the Apps Folder: Click on the Launcher (circle icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen) and then select Apps to open the folder.
2. Locate Google Translate: Scroll through the list of apps until you find Google Translate.
3. Launch the App: Click on Google Translate to open it.
Using Google Translate
Translating Text
- Type or paste text into the text box.
- Select the language you want to translate from and the target language on the bottom.
- The translated text will appear.
Using Conversation Mode
- Click the conversation icon below the text box.
- Speak clearly into the Chromebook’s microphone.
- Google Translate will continuously detect your speech and display the translated text live.
Additional Tips
- If the app isn't visible in the Apps folder, try searching for Google Translate using the search bar in the Launcher.
- For quick translations, you can also visit translate.google.com in your Chrome browser.
- Use Google Chrome Extensions for easier translations of entire web pages.
